Using the Archive
Conservative Party Archive material is read in the Duke Humfrey Reading Room, which is situated on the first floor of the Old Bodleian Library Quadrangle.
Appointments are essential. To make an appointment, please contact the Conservative Party Archivist at jeremy.mcilwaine@bodleian.ox.ac.uk.
Material required should be requested at least 48 hours before your intended visit, excluding weekends and public holidays (see the online catalogue). If you do not request material in advance, no guarantee can be made that the Reading Room staff will be able to accommodate your requests for material when you visit.
Requested material is delivered to the Duke Humfrey Reading Room once a day, Mondays to Fridays, so it is not possible to request material on the day of your visit.
Please ensure that you arrange any necessary permission to access material from the Conservative Party Archive before you arrange your visit (see Access Conditions).

Permission must be obtained from the Conservative Party for the reproduction of any text or image from the archive or the Conservative Party Archive web page. Readers sign a Copyright form on their first visit. View the full Copyright Form (PDF, 47 KB).
To obtain permission for reproduction of material from the Conservative Party Archive the reader must apply in writing to Conservative Campaign Headquarters (Beth Armstrong, Conservative Campaign Headquarters, 30 Millbank, London, SW1P 4DP; Email: Beth.Armstrong@conservatives.com). Please note that reproduction fees may apply.
Copying Services
Bodleian Library Imaging Services produces photocopies, photographs, microfilm and digital images from the Library's collections. Details of charges and an online order form can be viewed at Bodleian Libraries Imaging Services.
Please note it is not permitted to order copies of restricted material (i.e. material that requires permission to access).
