Career Records Project

Many of the contributions come from those who spent at least a part of their professional lives at headquarters, either at the UN offices in Manhattan or in one of the Agency centres elsewhere. Several accounts deal with the organizational and administrative difficulties encountered in such places, while others concentrate on the personalities involved. There are accounts giving recollections of each of the UN Secretaries-General, from Trygve Lie to Javier Perez de Cuellar, and by such colleagues as speech writers and advisers.
