This octagonal plate has a monochrome image of Disraeli framed by his favourite flowers, primroses, and topped by an earl's coronet. Disraeli was one of several leading political figures depicted on ceramic wares. Portraits of several of his contemporaries including Lord Randolph Churchill, Lord Salisbury, Sir Stafford Northcote, Joseph Chamberlain, Gladstone, and the Irish leader Charles Parnell featured in various series.
