Catalogues

• Catalogue of the printed books and manuscripts bequeathed by Francis Douce, Esq., to the Bodleian Library (Oxford, 1840).
• Summary Catalogue, IV, 488-631. (See Note below.)
• A checklist of a few further Douce manuscripts is also available.

Note. As an experiment, and until a more sophisticated system can be put in place, scanned page-images of the Summary Catalogue descriptions of the Douce manuscripts have been made available. File names consist of 'SC', the volume number 'IV', and the page number. If you do not know the page number of the description you require, you will have to use trial and error to find the appropriate image; the following may be used as a rough guide:

• MS. Douce 100 occurs on p. 521
• MS. Douce 150 starts on p. 538
• MS. Douce 200 occurs on p. 552
• MS. Douce 250 occurs on. p. 568
