Sevres Agreement (1956)
Photographic copy, 1996, of the Sevres Agreement signed by representatives of the
British French and Israeli Governments before the Suez expedition, 1956. This reproduction
of the copy held by the Israeli Government was given by the television company 3MB, makers
of a programme to mark the fortieth anniversary of the event, to Sir Donald Logan, a
participant in the 1956 discussions, after all three Governments had agreed that the text
should be published. Given to the Library by Sir Donald in 1997 with his typescript
account 'Meetings at Sevres 22-5 October 1956' written in 1986 and extended in 1997.
