Robert William Theodore Gunther (1869-1940) was a zoologist and antiquary. Details are given in the Dictionary of National Biography.

• Letters and papers, 1896-1904, relating to Gunther's journey to Persia in 1898, and his studies of the flora and fauna of Lake Urmia
• Lectures and papers by Edward Chapman, tutor in natural science at Magdalen College, 1863-77

The papers were given to the Library in 1964.
