Copies of reports and papers concerning attempted reforms of the government and finances of the Madras Presidency in 1798-1800, probably copied for Thomas Cockburn, one of the committee of reform.
The papers were bequeathed by B.H. Baden-Powell (d. 1901) to the Indian Institute, and transferred to the Library in 1975.
