John May (1775-1856) was first Superintendent of the Metropolitan Police.
Letters to John May, mainly from members of the Coleridge family, 1810-55, including letters from Sir John Taylor Coleridge, 1810-31.
The letters were bought from T.R.G. Lawrence (Crewkerne) in 1970.
