Charles Pugh (1798-1863) was a clerk in the High Court of Chancery. His daughter was Lauretta Jane Maitland (1849-1943).

Papers of Charles Pugh and his daughter, consisting of:

• Journal of Charles Pugh, of Barnard's Inn, 1834-63
• Accounts of servants' wages kept by Lauretta (Mrs Thomas) Maitland, 1873-1937

The papers were given to the Library by Pugh's grandson in 1956.
