Administrative/Biographical History

George Bartholomew was employed in Nigeria, 1906-[1908] as clerk and trade assistant by the African Association Limited (of Liverpool), and was in charge of Abonnema trading station, Nigeria, for The African Traders Co. Ltd., [c1916-1921?].

Scope and Content

Papers, 1906-1921, including contract, correspondence and two passenger lists; typescript translation of the private wartime diary of Lieut. Nothnagel, 30th July-27th September 1914, [Central Africa, [mainly?] Cameroon].
