76 undated lantern slides in [original] wooden container labelled History of the British Empire. Most are images of pages from books, documents, maps and portraits relating to the American colonies and War of Independence, but a few relate to Australia, India and the slave trade.

The lantern slides were donated to the library by Surrey Record Office via the British Records Association (BRA No. 2587) on 6th February 1997.
