Frank Howard Budden, MBE (1955), was born in 1919 and educated at Tiffin School and St. Thomas Hospital, London. He served in the British Colonial Service as a Medical Officer, later Ophthalmologist, in Nigeria.
Reports written by Budden as Medical Officer, later Ophthalmologist, in Sokoto, Nigeria, including details of measures against smallpox and yellow fever and handing-over notes (1947-1949). Also, copies of letters written by Budden (July 1944 - May 1946).
Donated by Dr. Frank Howard Budden's widow in August 1997 (the reports) and May 2002 (the letters).
