Administrative/Biographical History

Captain William Bloomfield Douglas (fl 1870-1882), colonial administrator, served as the first Government Resident in the Northern Territories, Australia, 1870-1873. He left the Northern Territories in 1874 and found work in the Straits Settlements and as Resident of Selangor, Malaya, 1876-1882.

Xerox copy of diary, originally in 4 volumes, written while Resident of Selangor, Malaya, 1876-1882, with offprint of an article by J.M. Gullick concerning the diary, 1975
