Biographical / Historical

Harold Wycliffe Jackson (1906-63) became head of the Diplomatic Section, Control Office (Germany and Austria), 1946 before moving to Malaya, where he took the post of Deputy Director of Broadcasting in 1946 and Director, 1951-1958. He was later appointed first General Manager, Rhodesia Television, 1960-1963.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

The papers were donated to the library by Jackson's widow, Mrs. J.H. Jackson in October 1985.

Further press cuttings were donated to the library in May 1986 and added to the collection.
