Administrative/Biographical History

William Alexander Riddell Walker was born in 1906 and educated at St. Alban's School, and Glasgow University. He entered the Colonial Administrative Service as a cadet in 1930. He was posted to the Gold Coast where, in 1931, he was appointed to the post of Assistant District Commissioner.

Scope and Content

Correspondence, memoranda, reports, synopsis of lectures, etc., relating to service as Administrative Officer in the Gold Coast, 1930-1935.
