Biographical/Historical

Ida Samunov, née Volshonok (1887-1985) was the sister of Isaiah Berlin's mother, Marie Berlin. She and her husband, Yitzhak Samunov (1886-1950) settled in Palestine.


Scope and Content

Includes discussion of Zionist affairs (particularly the setting up of the Peel Commission, 1936), and of land transactions in Palestine by Yitzhak Samunov on behalf of the Berlins.
