Scope and Content

The papers comprise scrapbooks and albums of newscuttings relating to the majority of Day's career along with typescript copies of many of his speeches and lectures, as well as correspondence and letters of congratulation from many leading figures of the period including politicians, broadcasters and lawyers.

Bequest, 2001.

Restrictions on Access

Family and general correspondence remains closed; earlier correspondence may be made available on application. Press cuttings May 1987- Feb. 1997 (MS. Eng. b. 2125) are closed as they include recent correspondence.
