The University of Oxford established academic halls for women from 1878. Women became members of the University in 1920.
Papers relating to the education of women at Oxford University, including records of the meetings of the women principals, and papers of the Women Students' Property Committee concerning the awarding of studentships.
The papers were deposited by Somerville College in 1975 and 1982, St. Anne's College in 1980, and Lady Margaret Hall in 1980 and 1982.Access Conditions
