Biographical / Historical

James Blair Leishman (1902-63) was a literary scholar and academic whose early career was spent at University College, Southampton. In 1946 he was appointed University Lecturer in English at Oxford.

Given by Mrs H. Tourmoche, [2011?]. The Bodleian holds the papers of Leishman at MSS. Eng. poet. c. 57, d. 164-85.
