Biographical / Historical

Harold Macmillan, 1st Earl of Stockton, (1894-1986) was a Conservative politician. He was prime minister 1957-1963; foreign secretary 1955 and chancellor of the Exchequer 1955-1957.

Ava Anderson, Viscountess Waverley, née Bodley (1896-1974) was the wife of John Anderson 1st Viscount Waverley (1882-1958), civil servant.
