7 Former farmstead, now a cottage 062 042 II (13/32) Medieval site: 'Gurneys'. Former farmstead: 'Perrys', associated with 'shop' and orchard on corner of Gurney's (now Denmans) lane. 8 Former parish school, now community centre. 461 041   Site was within court of Cumnor Place in medieval times; later a charity school site. Parish school built 1861, architect  J. Hakewell. Four classrooms and teacher's house. Limestone walls, ashlar dressings; roof formerly Stonesfield slate, now imitation. School closed 1952. 9 Former tythe barn, now house 461 042 II (13/42) Medieval barn on site served Cumnor Place. Baskerville 1680 claimed it was one of largest barns in Berkshire. Rebuilt c.1812 on smaller scale. 26 FARM HOUSE and outbuildings 457 046 II (12/58) A late Medieval freehold, known as 'Mount Pleasant'. Farm house rebuilt c.1800, two-storey with M form gable ends. Walls of coursed limestone rubble. 30 Plot, later non-conformist chapel 458 045   Nine rood enclosure of Burnt Farm, sold by Lord Abingdon for new chapel built in 1893. 31 Cottage terrace 458 045   Site belonged to Eaton Manor and St. John's College till freeholds sold in 1953.
