Geo. Findlay. Wright & trunk maker. Glasgow (1760s?)
George Findlay’s trade card is an example of the vogue for asymmetric
rococo or Chippendale frames, of the late 1740s to the 1760s. Incorporated
around it are images of his furniture. Such images are of great value to
furniture historians—as furniture makers rarely signed their work, accurate
images such as these can help in identifying makers.
