These four cards, all local to Berkshire and Oxfordshire, are typical of the production of provincial presses. In the provinces tradesmen often, as here, undertook a combination of trades. The John Johnson Collection has many cards and other ephemera printed by W. Holloway or Holloway and Sons of Bampton. Other examples in the exhibition are at nos. 109, 110 and 137.
