Hayward. Glazier & Painter (c. 1790s)

A most unusual coloured card, printed à la poupée, with a little hand-colouring. Samuel Hayward of Bread Street is in the trade directories from 1790 as a glass-cutter, variously recorded as trading from 20 Bread Street and 26 Bread Street. The illustration bears distinct similarities to the trade card of Daniel Orme in the Heal Collection, which is dated c. 1792.
