Wrights Circulating Library [c. 1740]
Wright’s, established in 1740, was possibly the second circulating library
in London. The first was Samuel Farcourt’s circulating library at Crane Court,
Fleet Street, which opened in c. 1730.
The engraver, James Hulett (d. 1771), mainly engraved illustrations for
books.
