Music titles documented events for much of the 19^th century. Composed by Louis Antoine Jullien (1812-60), this quadrille was included in M. Jullien’s annual series of concerts in London in December 1851. Its cover shows the fascination exerted by foreigners in the dress of their countries who came to London for the Great Exhibition, against a background of the Crystal Palace itself.
