This chromolithographed and embossed box shows the Belgian Court and the statue of Godfrey de Bouillon. It contains four packets of envelopes, with gold embossed bands.

Godfrey, 5^th duke of Bouillon (1066-1100) was a leading figure in the First Crusade and became ruler of Jerusalem from 1099 until his death a year later, possibly from poisoning.
