Bot. of M. Underhill & Son. Grocers, Tea Dealers & Cheesemongers.
Oxford (1843)
This bill heading shows the stock image of a Chinese man with tea chests. A
port scene in England is on the other side, emphasising that exotic imported
produce is available, not only tea, but also spices and foreign fruits.
Reference is also made to British wines, as well as to Stilton cheese. The bill
heading is engraved not by an Oxford printer but by Reeves & Hoare of
London, who also engraved the bill headings of H. Davies (no. 65) and John
Howard (nos 154 and 155).
